Okay so my doll Mirror arrived on Friday. I have been having some fun with her, but honestly not enough fun, for some reason when i came home today i passed out and went to sleep. Anyhow, here are a few pictures of my baby and I.

Mirror and Me

So in looking at things for this wondrous Doll Mirror that is going to be the physical representation of my Vision Board to assist me in manifesting into reality things I dream about. I found a violin for her to have as I work on becoming a better violinist. Doll Mansion however I don't think it is the right size. I'll ask the man that takes care of my violin, if he knows of anything the right size. We went to the movies last night, and i took her with me. Her wrap that she came in is doubling as a carrier and bed mattress. I am using a half bandanna as a sheet for now. So I guess project #1 is to make her a set of bedding. Followed by a padded carrier carrying case... I'm open to suggestions. Though posted on the 29th, I edited and added the pick on the 15th of December at 4 am.

New Beginnings

So I have been sitting idly by watching this new doll craze sweep the planet and from fear of cost and fear of the limited availability of Cocoa colored dolls, I have stayed away from something that inspires me to do things I have only but dared to dream of thus far. Then while attending a sewing class at Jackman's Fabrics/Artistic Fabric's my teacher, (the wonderful) Tricia showed me her vinyl BJD from Goodreau Dolls LLC, and I thought she was absolutely beautiful. Then she showed us the beautiful Kimono that she had made for her to wear and I was even more in love with her. Only one problem, I don't play with Caucasian dolls. Many may ask why, I'll explain it in short and another day explain it in long. Short, growing up my parents didn't allow us to play with dolls that didn't look like us, unless it was something special like, when I was learning classical ballet of South India, it was okay to have an India doll as long as "she didn't look white....

Toys I want to play with and eat the results!

Today's curiosity turned into research... as it usually does, while looking for a hello kitty pot I saw in the store last year I came across, this for a product called cute in the kitchen. This is a blog that I discovered today much to my dismay, it reveals to me far too many cool and innovative things in Japan that I must have. These two toys in specific. Meltingpot is a place to go and see more Hello Kitty stuff that I must have to make the perfect cute little tea party complete with a host of cute foods. Meltingpot has even more stuff that i would like to have. Purchase Links (if anyone loves the child in me as much as i do, feel free to buy toys like these for yourself or for me :P) Sushi roll maker Sandwich press Soba maker Cucumber mold Somehow this led me to look up Bento Lunches. I remember them as a small child and I remember seeing them a lot as a young adult. Now that I am getting ready to be a wife I'm seriously considering getting into this healthier and alt...

Tired of Being a Slave?

Why is everything so bleak? The weather is horrible, absolutely horrible. It feels like the Underworld outside and I keep waiting to see any of the Lords of the Underworld (Anubis, Osiris, Sokar, Hades, Hel, Orcus, ManannĂ¡n mac Lir, Nergal, Ammit, and so on), strolling by walking Cerberus on a leash made of chains as thick as my arm. The water at Lindenwood University has been out since the middle of yesterday and is just now coming back on. That means no shower and I love taking those thanks to the heat and sweat it produces. No toilet flushing either. Gross. PFoodMan as usual is not prepared to deal with any type of emergency situation. Lunch was a salad bar and that was fine, however for dinner they gave us a ham sandwich, a 4 pack of Oreo cookies, a green apple and a bottle of cold water. There are more than 15 students from India that don’t eat meat; there are 6 students from Nepal that also don’t eat meat and at least 6 Muslims that don’t eat pork. Where was the turkey lunch ...
